I was born in Hong Kong, but grew up in the US from a very young age, so my Cantonese ability was not very good until I learned some Mandarin in college, at which point I was able to improve my Cantonese a lot after being able to read and write Chinese. Now I have a son, and would like for him to possess some Cantonese ability as well.

我生於香港但從小在美國長大，所以我當時的廣東話能力一直到我上大學為止講得不太好。在大學學了一點普通話以後，由於學了讀與寫中文，我的廣東話也進步了十倍，大多數自己教自己的。現在有一個男孩，希望他也會學講一點廣東話。
